About a year ago I decided I'd lived too long without a cordless nailgun. You see, I'm a do-it-yourselfer. I like to build things. Most of that drive to build, (and now knowledge to do so) comes from all the ramps I've built over the years, starting when I was a kid. The ramps led to doing building stuff around my house and for friends, and well, ultimately to a cordless nailgun. I know, dreamy.

There are some things National Geographic does quite well, and others they should probably leave to, well, experts.



Regardless in its "Ten Best of Everything Families" book it lists its picks for top ten skateparks around the country.



Now, I have been to all of these with the exception of Ranney Park in Michigan, in addition to a crapload of other parks around the country, and all I can say is, huh?

This weekend was the finals of the much anticipated "Battle at the Berrics," Eric Koston and Steve Berras private facility of fun in Los Angeles. The Battle was a glorified game of "S-K-A-T-E" where some of the best in the biz went head to head through various rounds. Good stuff.
