I'm snowed in today. Literally.

There is over a foot of snow here in Portland, which is something that really just doesn't happen. A dusting is something we'll occasionally see, but nothing like this. The city is a mess, and not at all equipped to deal with snow like this. Nothing is plowed or sanded. As a New Englander, I'm used to lots of snow, and typically a foot wouldn't shut much down, but Portland isn't ready.

Testing the D90

I just uploaded a little video from this past weekend in Portland. Forbes Notes Hawk's Influence

Earlier in the year had a debate with some business types in which I was arguing the influence of Tony Hawk on young consumers relative to "traditional athletes." They didn't listen.

Corey Bohan never ceases to amaze me. Not only is he without question one of the top five bike riders on the planet, he is now on Star Magazine's radar. Amazing: Etnies throws Holiday Party for Adidas Employees?

A while back Adidas announced it would not be having 2008 and 2009 holiday parties for employees.

Bestwick Gets Monsterous

If you can look past the horrible starburst effects at the start, Monster have posted up a nice little video with Jamie Bestwick, where he talks about the '08 contest season, plans to race his motorcycle this winter, and plans to attend some of the winter snow events with the Monster team — Bestwick hanging with the Dingo? Could be trouble. You'll also get a quick glimpse inside Jamie's new home in State College (and it aint an Amish farmhouse).

Octopus Chandeliers, Skateboarding, and Gwar

It's no secret skateboarding has bred some incredibly influencial contemporary artists. Some of my favorite stuff in recent times is coming from Skateboarder / Photographer / Artist Adam Wallacavage.

LG Action Sports World Championships - Day 3 Recap

The people of Seattle got a nice reprieve from thoughts of the sorry state of the global economy and the upcoming election this weekend, in the form of three days of the best action sports in the world. The LG Action Sports World Championships came to a close on Sunday with a day full of skateboarding.
